On June 23, 2023, the Government College of Teacher Education inaugurated the Students For Society (SFS) scheme. Dr. Aswathy Srinivas IAS, the Sub Collector of Thiruvananthapuram, graced the occasion by officially launching the SFS scheme. The event featured an orientation session detailing the objectives and benefits of the scheme, followed by an interactive session to address any questions from the attendees.The Students For Society scheme is a visionary initiative with a dual objective: to ensure the sustainability of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) by promoting value-based education and to cultivate socially responsible citizens. This initiative aims to shape the mindset of the youth towards making responsible societal contributions, fostering a generation dedicated to social responsibility and community service.
