CONFERENCE ON "HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP"



On January 11, 2023, the Women Cell at GCTE, Thycaud organised a seminar on "HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS" in collaboration with the Kerala Women's Commission. In the General Hall, GCTE, Thycaud, the programme began at 2:00 p.m.
Ashly L. Paul, who presented the show (1st B. Ed. English). The function began with a silent prayer, and then Ms. Sheena Elizabeth Varghese, Convenor, Women Cell, Assistant Professor, GCTE, Thycaud, gave a welcome address. Following the welcome remarks, the Principal, Dr. V. K. Santhosh Kumar, delivered the presidential address. He talked about how relationships between individuals are changing both in India and Kerala. He brought up the stereotypical perspective on relationships. He continued by pointing out how people are eschewing their own culture in favour of that of another.

The inaugural speech by Adv. P. Satheedevi, Hon. Chairperson, Kerala Women's Commission, came after the president's address. She said that because we are taking a course on teaching, there were less guys present in this session. She made reference to Kerala's male and female literacy rates. She also made comparisons between traditional and contemporary perspectives on relationships. Adv. Indira Raveendran then gave the inaugural speech. She discussed her actual experiences advocating for couples who were having relationship problems.

In between, Adv. P. Satheedevi presented awards to the winners of the school-level poster-making competition held by GCTE, Thycaud. The first, second, and third place awards went to students at Govt. Model HSS. Later, Ms. Aswathy F. S., a psychologist, attends the session on "Healthy partnerships." Three topics—Healthy relationships, Unhealthy relationships, and Toxic relationships—were covered during the seminar. A variety of intersession activities were included by her. The session was successful and applicable to the circumstances at hand.The session ended by 4:30 pm.
