TRIANGLE TRIBUTE AND NATIONAL MATHEMATICAL DAY CELEBRATION

In honour of National Mathematics Day 2022, GCTE Trivandrum and the Mathematics Association jointly organised the event "TRIANGLE TRIBUTE." Math and creativity were merged in an one event. On December 20, the programme began at 3:30 and finished at 4:30. Only first-year B.Ed. students were invited to the event. Groups of ten students made up our class of 55. The five groups each received a white chart, and Roshna's teacher presented the general sketching directions. Only triangles are to be used when drawing pictures. The goal of the competition was to provide aspiring instructors the ability to pique their pupils' interest in the subject. The pupils' sense of camaraderie was also cultivated by this occasion.

Since 2012, India has commemorated National Mathematics Day on December 22. The Mathematics Day celebration was organised in our college on December 21, 2022. Aswathy served as the program's host. Mahima and Sruthy sang a beautiful song for prayer. Keerthana provided background information on National Mathematics Day and provided a succinct yet interesting biography of the Indian mathematician Ramanuja.

Srinivasa Ramanujan, who was born on December 22, 1887, was a renowned mathematician whose contributions to the subject helped to answer a number of unresolved problems. National Mathematics Day is observed on the day after his birthday. He was born in 1887 to a lowly Iyengar Brahmin family in Erode, Tamil Nadu. Ramanujan spent his brief but significant life working on topics that appeared unsolvable. He was one of the youngest individuals to win this honour when, on May 2, 1918, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Society in London. On April 26, 1920, Ramanujan passed away at the age of 32. Srinivasa Ramanujan was depicted on an Indian stamp from the year 2012. On December 26, 2011, at Madras University, the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh proclaimed December 22 as Mathematics Day to commemorate the 125th birthday of Srinivasa Ramanujan, a mathematician. Manmohan Singh, the prime minister, also declared 2012 to be the National Mathematics Year at this time.National Mathematics Day 2022 has no topic. The purpose of the holiday is to raise public awareness of the value of mathematics as well as recent breakthroughs and advancements in the subject. Dr. Joly ma'am, Vice Principal, GCTE, awarded the prizes for the Triangle Tributes Competition after Keerthana's discourse on Ramanujan.
