Yess!!! It's a GOOOAL...

 

Football fans all around the world are becoming more and more interested in the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup. On November 28, 2022, the Physical Education Department of GCTE Thycaud hosted a Shootout Competition - GOOOAL in support of the Say No to Drugs and Yes to Sports Campaign and to commemorate the World Cup. All first semester B.Ed. students competed in the competition, which was held close to UGC Hall. The match was seen by Dr. Roshna, a lecturer in mathematics, and Dr. Praveena M., a lecturer in educational technology. The competition got more intense under Sri. Roshkumar's direction as the physical education trainer.

45 students in all were divided into 9 teams of five, and the matches were played in the knockout style. Many students painted their faces to demonstrate their support for Argetina and Portugal. Following the semifinals, Team 9 under the direction of Bushra and Team 2 under Sandya battled in the championship round. Rosh Kumar Sir and other students specifically praised Ms. Sandya's performance even though Bushra's squad won the cup.

Fousiya and Arsha, two pupils with physical disabilities, received special encouragement by being given the chance to toss and shoot the football into the goal post and both came out on top. Praveena Ma'am and Roshna Ma'am also took part and earned points. The game ended at four in the evening. The winners' rewards would be given out in the assembly, it was revealed. This game improved the growth of sportsmanship, and it also assisted many pupils in being familiar with how to kick a football.
