ARTS FEST PRIZE DISTRIBUTION AND SENT OFF FOR GUEST LECTURERS

 

On the final day of the academic year, March 31, a mixture of joy and sadness filled the air. The General Hall 2 of GCTE hosted the certificate distribution ceremony for all the winners of the various competitions held in conjunction with Arts Fest 2023. The certificates were awarded by esteemed teachers including Dr. VK Santhosh Kumar, Dr. Joly S, Dr.Anju, Dr.Isac Paul, Asha Teacher, and Jithin Sir .

To me, this art fest was a novel experience. I realize that I may never again have the opportunity to perform on such a grand stage, which is why the results do not matter to me as much as the experience itself. I participated in four different programs including mime, skit, Malayalam group song, and Mappilapattu, and to my great joy, I received the second prize for all four. What makes it even more amusing is that each of these programs had two participants, except for the Malayalam song, where there were two second prize winners. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed participating in all of these events, and the experience will remain unforgettable to me

First B.Ed. was crowned the overall champions, while Second B.Ed. secured the position of first runners-up. Among the individual winners, Metilda Alphonse from Second B.Ed. earned the title of 'Kalathilakam', while Vignesh from First B.Ed. was awarded the title of 'Kalaprathibha', adding to their glory.

The guest teachers, namely Ms.Vijisha, Ms.Praveena, Ms.Roshna, Ms.Chithralekha, and our psychology apprentice Mr. Jithin Prem, were gracefully bid farewell during the send-off ceremony. The experienced educators shared their invaluable insights and wisdom with their colleagues and beloved students. It was revealed that Ms.Vijisha and Ms.Chithralekha had both contributed their profound knowledge and expertise to the college for two remarkable years, while the others had offered their illuminating guidance for a year. The gracious Principal and the diligent student teachers also took the opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude and share their own experiences with the esteemed guests.

In commemoration of the farewell, a scrumptious cake was cut by all teachers and the college union chairman Praveen Kumar and luscious ladoos were distributed among all the students.

As the event came to a close, some students were able to snap a memorable photograph with the esteemed Mr.Jithin, capturing the essence of this special occasion.
