CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME

On March 21, 2023, we, the commerce optional, presented the seminar as a part of the capacity building programme. Our main topic was "ENTREPRENEURSHIP". Along with that, we also covered leadership, problem-solving, creativity, and taking risks. We made the decision to use some exercises to develop the skill.

Ajmal Roshan E. led the initial session. By using an animated animation to depict a person's journey towards entrepreneurship, he was able to understand the concepts of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship. The audience's perception of the subject or substance was clearly impacted by this. He displayed a photograph of a well-known entrepreneur and noted how many of them had a distinct understanding of the notion. From here, the slideshow and interaction help the content to become evident.

The second session was led by me. Firstly, I introduced a paper pen to the audience which my friend Ashly had bought two days prior. The pen was completely made of paper and its features included being biodegradable, eco-friendly, and containing a seed inside. Through this example, I explained the skill of creativity of an entrepreneur. This pen is a testament to the entrepreneur's creativity, and according to my calculations, they make 7 rupees per pen and hence 7000 rupees for 1000 pens. This earning is a result of their creativity. This is what I aimed to explain.

Furthermore, I gave four worksheets to four different people in the audience, each with two lines. I instructed them to complete the picture by drawing the rest. All four people completed the worksheet in different ways, based on their creativity and problem-solving skills. This was done in accordance with a test named the Torrance Test, which helps to develop creativity among students through activities such as this.Lastly, I concluded my session.

Sruthi took the third session and was tasked with presenting two skills: leadership and risk-taking. She chose to introduce both of these skills through an activity. Initially, she provided a brief overview of the previous two sessions and how they relate to her session.

Then, she selected eight students to participate in the activity, plus an additional person to serve as a judge. She divided the students into two groups, each consisting of four members. The activity was called the "Risk-taking and Leadership Game."

Ajmal Roshan E conducted the final session where he summarized all the skills that were introduced throughout the program. He presented an animated video demonstrating how future teachers can enhance their entrepreneurship skills from the elementary level onwards. As a result of this last session, the capacity-building program for the Commerce optional came to a conclusion.
