INTER-COLLEGE COMPETITIONS

 


The inter-college training competitions organized by GCTE on 23rd, 24th and 27th February 2023 witnessed a phenomenal turnout, with students from various colleges across the city participating with enthusiasm and zeal. The competitions were a platform for the participants to showcase their skills and knowledge in diverse fields, and the event was an excellent opportunity for the organizers to hone their event management skills and take up various tasks to ensure the competitions ran smoothly. The rigorous preparation and planning put into the competitions paid off, and the event was a grand success, leaving participants and organizers alike with a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.Dr. Rajashree K. was the programme co-ordinator of these competitions. Students of various training colleges were participated.

1.Inter-College Quiz Competition


The festivities commenced with great fanfare on the 23rd of February, as the Government College of Teacher Education in Thiruvananthapuram hosted a thrilling inter-training college quiz competition in the illustrious General Hall 2. The esteemed Mr. Anoop M. R., an Under Secretary of the Government Secretariat, presided over the event as the erudite quiz master, thrilling the audience and challenging the competitors with his formidable expertise. The stakes were high, as the winners of this prestigious competition would be awarded the coveted Sri. K M Jacob and Smt. Mary Jacob Memorial ever-rolling trophy, a true symbol of academic excellence. In the end, the formidable duo of Sudeera S and Sreenath G. from our college rose to the challenge, securing a well-deserved second position in this fiercely contested competition.


2.Inter-College Elocution Competition


A stirring atmosphere filled the halls of General Hall 2 on the morning of February 24th, 2023, as the highly anticipated Inter Training College Elocution Competition commenced with great fanfare. After a fierce and inspiring display of oratorical prowess from some of the most gifted speakers in the region, the coveted Prof. Mary Xavier Ever Rolling Trophy was presented to the brilliant winner. It was a moment of great pride and accomplishment, one that will be forever etched in the memories of those who witnessed it. Sreenath G. of our esteemed college also demonstrated remarkable talent and poise, earning a well-deserved second place in the competition.


3.Inter-College Teaching Aid Competition


Amidst the hushed stillness of a cool February morning, the Government College of Teacher Education played host to an enthralling Inter-Training College Teaching Aid Competition. The competition, organized by the talented team at the college, took place on February 24th, 2023 at the precise hour of 2 a.m., transforming the normally quiet classrooms of Geography, Sanskrit, and Malayalam into buzzing hubs of energy and excitement. The participants, each a shining star in their respective disciplines, dazzled the judges with their innovative teaching aids and inspired performances. Among the brightest of these stars were Keerthana Anil, whose passion for science won her the coveted first prize, and Reshma Rajesh and Ancila Merlin, both of whom shone brightly as they earned second prize in Literature and Social Science, respectively. Their participation was a testament to the exceptional quality of education and training provided by their college


4.Inter-College Best Teacher Trainee Competition



Amidst great anticipation and excitement, the much-anticipated Best Teacher Trainee competition was held on the morning of February 27, 2023, with the clock striking 10 am as the eager participants gathered to showcase their skills. Representing the esteemed Government College of Teacher Education was the talented Mr. Vishnu Mohan, a first-year M.Ed student whose passion and dedication shone through in every moment of the competition.
