COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP : DAY 1- Kickoff Adventure

The "Chiranthana" community living camp kicked off on February 12 with a vibrant start at General Hall 2, GCTE, Thycaud. Our first session, "Earn While You Learn: Socially Useful Productive Work," had students, teachers, and coordinators, including Ms. Asha Krishnan, Ms. Sreeja, and Ms. Anju, making lotion and hand wash. We even repurposed plastic bottles and crafted handmade labels to promote sustainability!

Later, we moved to our camp venue, Grameena Patana Kendram, Karakulam. The inaugural ceremony featured a heartfelt prayer, welcome remarks by Dr. Anju, and a presidential address from Dr. A.V. Sujith. Sri. Brahma Nayakam Mahadevan graced us by lighting the ceremonial lamp, marking the start of our camp. The camp song, performed by Ms. Gowri Venu and Ms. Keerthana Anil, perfectly captured our theme.

In the afternoon, Sri. Brahma Nayakam Mahadevan led "Puthiya Lokam Puthiya Kaazcha," sharing his energetic storytelling and engaging activities that inspired us and deepened our connections. The day concluded with a review of camp rules, dinner, and a collaborative news-writing session, ending with us heading to bed, excited for more of "Chiranthana."
