On March 26, 2024, Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, hosted a vibrant Merit Day to celebrate and honor academic and extracurricular achievements. This event marked the first Merit Day since the Covid pandemic, bringing together students from three batches.The day began with a warm welcome from Praveen Kumar, followed by an informative speech about the significance of Merit Day delivered by Keerthana Anil. Principal Sujith Sir gave the presidential address, and Dr. Santhosh Kumar Sir officially inaugurated the event. Felicitations were extended by Omansheelan Sir, Valsala Teacher, and Joly Teacher. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Revathy B R.
Students who excelled academically, those who earned their Ph.D., and individuals who shone in sports and arts were all celebrated for their hard work and dedication. The occasion was both inspiring and motivating, highlighting the collective success and commitment of the college community. Personal highlights included receiving prizes for inter-class competitions, adding to the joy of the day.
